Musical Equipment

In the Lloyd Smith Hall, there is an upright piano (right) used for choir practices, sing-a-longs, Church School and other functions. It is a Heintzman make, converted from an old player piano.

Moreover, Alex added a Conn Rhapsody style organ last season (left) for rehearsal use so that we can hear the balance of the choir to the organ more accurately. It has two manuals and a full pedal board. With the music stand, a director’s chair and twenty-two chairs filled with choir members, we have a fine rehearsal situation. We also rehearse in the sanctuary.

This is a Kurzwell digital keyboard (left). Themachine has the current  technology and is a real challenge, (and delight) to play.  It has replaced the venerable Conn organ which was removed from the sanctuary.

The redesigned choir stalls, the keyboard, plus the electronic sound enhancement, all supports the music production in the church service.

Not to be forgotten is the church bell which calls us to church each Sunday morning at 10:20.
